We say good bye to 2008 and Welcome in 2009. I look forward to setting new goals and making new resolutions for the new year. I have lots of plans for needle works, reading and movies to see!
I have a few pictures on my camera that I need to put on my blog that I finished up at Christmas time that I couldn't show earlier because they were gifts. Hope everyone has a Happy New Year filled with prosperity and good health. May your hands be creative in your needle works and your minds busy reading good books and don't forget to work your body a little each day with a 30 minute walk...that's 15 minutes away from the house and turn around for the 15 minute walk back home. You will be surprised to see that inches really do melt away!! Oh and drink lots of WATER!! NOT SODA!!!
okay....climbing down off my soapbox now....BE HEALTHY!! MAKE GOOD CHOICES...SET GREAT GOALS THAT ARE ATTAINABLE, AND BE HAPPY!!
HUGS TO ALL!!

Baby Shower Gifts
NICE WRAP UP!!
Our friend Adria is having a baby in October! I just attended a baby shower for her. She has chosen to not know the sex of the baby until it is born, so Aqua, yellow and white were the colors I chose to work with.
I crocheted this baby blanket out of TLC Baby Amore.
I really loved knitting this little newborn hat. I made it out of the Baby Caron yarn. It knits up nicely and is the perfect size.
I was happy she enjoyed them!

MY FIRST KNITTED MARKET BAG
This was quite a fun bag to knit up! I saw it on display at our local knit shop and right away I wanted to knit one!
It's so stretchy and can hold alot of "stuff". It feels pretty sturdy to hold weight.
I think it will be great for the beach to fill up with my book, some knitting, a snack, my pocketbook etc...and a big plus is that the sand won't collect in the bottom of it!!
I just picked up some more yarn to make another one but out of a different kind of yarn....stay tuned to see that one up on the blog soon!!

ZIG ZAG DISH TOWEL
This is a dish towel I crocheted. Very absorbent and hangs nicely on the stove.
It goes well with my knitted dishcloths!!
