MAY DISHCLOTH KAL 2008

I used Grape colored Sugar and Cream for this one! Don't you just love the little hearts?
I changed my mind with this one. First I started out using the Swimming Pool Blue varigated yarn and then my lovely grandchildren removed my needles from my work so when I started over I chose this "Confetti" colored varigated instead.
I think it turned out nice! I loved the pattern and the fact that it has "scrubby" power to it!!

CARROTS

Well...I've been at it again!!

I spent the afternoon at the kitchen sink peeling over 100 carrots, and chopping them all into "coins"

This was my first experience canning a vegetable. I was always afraid to try this thinking that it was hard. I was surprised at how easy this was to do.

AND look at how Pretty all the little jars in a row are.

Now let's see........WHAT'S NEXT??

APRIL DISHCLOTH KAL

I'm a little behind in posting my April dishcloths.
This one is the lovely Mid April KAL.
I like this one mostly because it's a nice "scrubby" dishcloth. I think I'll make more of these!!
This one is the April First KAL
It has the sunshine and flowers all in a row. A nice Springtime pattern for my kitchen.

PETITE PINEAPPLE DOILY

I love crocheting doilies. This was a quick and fun pattern to work up.
To take a photo of the doily I layed it out on my daughter's grey sofa so I could get a solid backgroud so you could see the pattern. I gives the picture a cloudy look to it but I like the black and white effect the picture has too!

This will be perfect for a small vase of red roses! Or a teapot of Sweet Pea Flowers!!

THE PINK "STONES" AFGHAN

Here it is...finally finished after almost a month and half working on it. I mostly get to do needlework in the evenings as I sometimes have house and grand kids during the day that take up alot of time.
The PINK AFGHAN!!

This pattern started off being so easy and I loved how it was turning out, but then the rounds kept getting longer and longer to get around and when I was on the final rounds I couldn't sit and crochet the whole row in one sitting. I was so happy when I finished it because quite frankly the color PINK was starting to make me sick!! My daughter is the recipient of this round afghan and LOVES the color pink which is why I chose this color. I was really pleased with the way this turned out !

I Crocheted this holding double strands of Red Heart Worsted weight yarn and a size N crochet hook.
The grankids have already cuddled in it and my daughter has asked several times during the crocheting process..."are you done yet?

Now I can say....YES!!!
